LAP Program (Student Wellbeing)
Here at Valley View Secondary School, our student’s learning is extremely important to us, especially in Literacy & Numeracy. This is why we are excited to announce we are now a member of the LAP Programme. (Learning Assistance Programme)
The LAP Programme is a Volunteer based program which was developed in 1976. It was established to provide individual support and care for students of all ages with varied learning and personal needs, through the positive participation of mentors.
We are always looking for Volunteers to be part of this very exciting and wonderful programme. All you need is a minimum of 45 minutes a week to spare and a willingness to be involved with a child’s learning experience. No skills are required, just a passion to see a child’s skills grow and develop. You will be fully supported while you work 1:1 with a student in a positive learning environment.
If you would like to know more or be a part of LAP, please contact Liz Wheeler on 8360 6111 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
